Construction & Composition:
Beginning with sheets of HDF, P. Graham Dunn uses lasers to engrave and cutout ornaments, magnets, pocket crosses and other small wood gifts. Each piece is created in our design lab on computers. Art is then mounted to the small items. The pieces are then collected and sent offsite as piece work. This "piece work" is often accomplished by local Amish women. Since our workshop uses electricity some Amish sects are forbidden from working in this environment. Piece work is one way in which an Amish family can earn a living while still adhering to their way of life. The final pieces have been cleaned, assembled (if necessary), tagged and packaged ready for shipment.

Most items are wrapped in a plastic sleeve and packed in corrugated cardboard boxes. Some prints and irregular shaped items will have cardboard corners and/or Styrofoam inserts for added protection. Larger items will be encased in foam for protection during shipping. Multiple items may be packaged in a single shipping box.
