Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to join our dynamic team. This position will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and compliance.

General Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Financial Management: Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, providing insights to optimize financial performance.
• Journal Entries and Reconciliations: Preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to guarantee proper recording of financial transactions and compliance with accounting standards.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Oversee the compilation and analysis of financial data to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or relevant accounting standards.
• Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for the organization.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Audits and Risk Management: Coordinate and manage external audits. Assess and mitigate financial risks by implementing strategies and controls.
• Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to finance team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring a high level of expertise within the department.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent PC skills: Excel/Word, MS Access, Sharepoint.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
